Do things really go bump in the night ? After hearing this story you decide for yourself
I was coming home from the mall one day and in my apartment building the was no elevator .. so to get to my apartment i had to walk up 4 flights of stairs. it was an older apartment building and the maintence wasnt the best. but the hallways were always clean and there wasnt usually anything wrong with the electricity. The hallways were quite narrow and the doors werent too far apart. approching the last flight of stairs i notice the hallway light wasnt on . it was pitch black but dark enough that i wasnt able to see my key hole. finally when i entered my apartment i took off my shoes and put the chain on the door like any other time. I was about 6 months pregnant at the time and ofcourse i wanted something to eat. as i went to the kitchen it was spotless. I was releaved that my boyfriend cleaned up before he went to work. i found a note on the kitchen table, it said ill be home soon just went to go grab some thing at the store. surprised that he didnt have to work. i grabbed some things from the fridge and decided to whip up something for the both of us. standing at the stove stirring away and zoning out on my hunger i heard a crackly noise coming from my bedroom. concerned i turned my pan that was on the element to low and quickly went to go see what the sound was.
As i opened the door and heard it more clearly i knew excactly was it was. i went over to my ancient cd played and unplugged it. Mostly keeping it for CD's since the radio ariel was broken. As I went to go stir my food again my cell was going off the hook with texts messages. Turning my pan back on high i sat on the couch and started looking through my phone. It was my boyfriend. since we lived in a securitty bulding the main door was always locked. the text read. hey im downstairs... the key is not working. Forgetting about my food i put down my phone and went to put on my shoes to let him in the building. I unhooked the chain and proceeded down the stairs. With my hallway light still out i grabbed on to the railing the whole way down. I wanted to be careful because of my belly. letting him in he had a weird look on his face. I asked him why isnt your key working. did you forget which one?? i bugged jokingly. we didnt know why....
as we came back up to our floor to my surprise our hallway light was back on. Oh good i thought. . As soon as i turned the doorknob a sharp pain rain through my stomach and down to my toes. I stopped and stepped back gasping for air. my bf freaking.... I shook it off . its probably nothhing ive been walking around alot today. I assured him.
Whats that sound my bf said stepping in the apartment then me , we took off out shoes and chained the door as we always do. walking back into the kitchen , my skin crawled. My food that i was cooking was off and moved to a different element. our tv was on was , and the radio in my room was playing full blast lynard skynard( which hasnt played radio music in years ). sitting on the couched freaking out i made my bf turn off everything that was on.. ........ after i calmed down a little bit i went searching for my phone to creep some facebook. We couldnt find it anywhere ..
2 days later we found it underneath the couch pushed to the very back. My screen was cracked and when i charged it enough to turn it on all my contacts , apps and music was wiped...
still dont know what when on in the apartment ... i was gone for 2 minutes .....

Tattoos.. Expressive art or Judgmental ink
I grew up in a Strict enviroment , My mother was completly conservative. Partying , Late curfew and Back talk was lookup down upon. But the one thing that rubbed my mother the wrong way and still to this day was tattoos . If there was a person walking down the road inked up and looking a little bit rough around the edges she would point him out to me . " Janey , You stay away from people like that . You see how unprofessional they look ? They will never beable to get a good paying job" Well thats all it took , Ever since that day In spite of my mother I have respeted the art of tattooing . and in my opinon , it is one of the best art forms ever. No not in spite , I enjoy the history of Tattooing, the artists and even the feeling of the needle.
Societies views are changing dramatically. expecially since the day my mother pointed out that person. It use to be that if you had ink you were known as a crazy or a trouble maker. Now all different types of people are stepping up to feel the needle. Young , old , mothers and professional people. So why are people still turning the heads to the idea.
On facebook the other day there was an argument between some of my friends. It all started when someone mentioned that tattoos are unprofessional and they should not be over done on an individuals body. And before getting a tattoo think about because it is perminent. It pushed me back a few feet. why do this person have such a strong opinon on something that has nothing to do with them or their own body for that matter. Trying to influence someone on there beliefs that tatttoos are something not to get excited about. Well I couldnt hold it in anymore , i expressed that tattoos on the human body are the least perminant form of art work, A painting last longer then a human life... As soon as i commented the conversation was done. even tho the person maybe didnt change their views, im glad still other people were able to see it . and its not even the fact that tattoos are unproffesional today. Now yes if you are in medical school and planning to be a doctor the patients might not feel comfortable if you walk in the room and have ink from head to toe.. but then again who knows. because it depends on the person and their views. Ciggarettes are more welcome then tattoos. and to me thats ridiculous ...but thats only my opinon.

2012.... :S
Ive been waiting to write about this for a while .. after watching Decoded* with Brad Meltzer it been racking my brain ever since. Many religions say that the end of the earth as we know it ends Decemeber of 2012. There are statements EVERYWHERE, even in the holy bible.... They say that the earth will be overtaken by our bodies of water. I know what some are thinking .. "well i just get my boat good and ready!" . But what sacres me even more is our power grid potentially going out. If thats the case then its not the boat you need to worry about its acquiring food and keeping warm.. The Mians* have been around for centuries and they have predicted events that have changed our world completley. they have predicted the 2 world wars and some think even the events that took place on the trade towers on september 11th 2001 . ( 9/11) As cool as that is , it makes my skin crawl. what would happen if the prophecy of 2012 did end up coming true. How would we adapt and who now is taking the nessecary actions today if so. Those are my concerns. Researchers say thst our earth plates are shifting, due to GLOBAL WARMING!! we would be in danger of expierencing earth quakes that measure a whopping 9.2 on the rictors scale. ( people would be lucky even to survive. ) Countries across the globe would feel that affect, and to make matters worse the aftermath of those earth quakes would trigger horrific Tsunamis which would wipe out most of the countries borderline of the coast. So i guess the point is that we take atvantage of our beautiful earth. Even tho we realize our mistakes and put forth some effort we could and should be doing more. The famous quote " Live like your dying" is making more and more sense to me and hopefully to you.
Nightmares
Latley i have been having weird dreams. Like a roughed up version on alice in wonerderland* Intrigued i research dream patterns and couldnt believe what i discovered!! your state of mind controls your dream state and the normal person has no control over these magnificant expirences. So i was wondering what does it take for me to control my state of mind... is it as simple as that or is it more complicated...
During a normal day i filled my mind with youtube* clips . my favourite songs ... funny videos and cute animal acting. trying to keep my state of mind positive.and before i went to bed that night i counted back from 1000. not knowing what number i dosed off at i was taken on a journey, i had a pet alligator that was pink and purple ( my two favourite colours) , we decided to go to a concert - music i didnt reconize but i seemed to enjoy ,dancing and enjoying myself i looked up at the sky to take it all in. a storm rolled in and the clouds were black and angry expecting thunder and lighting , rainbows cascaded from the clouds, and tiny marshmellows trickled down. finding the child inside me i stick out my tounge and fill my mouth with the fluffy sweetness. in an instant i found myself awakeing, rubbing my eyes and grabbing my journal.. even tho i couldnt control everything, i was able to control the little things to tweek my cutomsized dream.
...... sitting here at 10am in the morning with a bag of marshmellows in hand i cant help to smile :)

Creating a good day for ones self is easier said then done . With the stress of the work day , the common fml surprises, and the simple fact that people can be assholes. I have 10 steps to help you get through some tough times.
1. Turn off your cell phone or press the " do not disturb button " on your home phone ...
- If you want to enjoy yourself dont let the interent or texts stop that .. you cant help what goes on or what ppl say but who says you have to see it ( that includes computers and anywhere where you can access internet.. i know you might be addicted but you'll survive)
2. Write up a simple / easy going to do list for yourself
-Keeping your mind stimulated is keen, this ensures bordem will not kick in... i usually do chores or tasks naked. nude is when im most comfortable and it is surprisingly entertaining. ( now if you have children or live with other ppl i dont suggest this .. but put in you favourite CD or grab your ipod .. blasting your favourite tunes get your endorphans flowing. Get in your most grunchy comfortable clothes too.. remember this day is about you!
3. Pamper yourself !!! Have a nice long bath , make a fun cocktail and sit in the sun, whatever makes you feel good do it.
- when you feel good you look good and when you look good you feel good .. nuff said.
4. Try a activity youve never done before , such as hemping , yoga , starting to learn a knew language, it just has to be a knew experience for youself.
- challenging yourself every now and then gives your brain a boost and can be a great tool for a normal stressful day... eg / instead of putting down the knew girl at the coffee shop for screwing up your order for the second time in a row, grab the biggest clump of hair on the ground you can find stick it in the coffee and offer it to the office bitch :D , it just goes show what a little thinking can accomplish.
5. Make your favourite food of life. whether its greasy or delicate ...enjoy it ! food has a big part to do with how we are feeling believe it or not.
- Favourite foods commonly referred to as "comfort foods" are actually a remidy for lower stress levels. My Grammas homemade mac and cheese will always warm me up and calm me down.
6. Stay away from the t.v. or video games!!!!
- Distracting you from everything the t.v. in my case makes me lifeless and lazy, instead go for a walk or even better have sex ! physical actions are healthy and lets face it we could all use a good long walk or some spontaneous adult time.
7. Spread the love <3
- whether its your child or a pet or even a best friend set aside some time in your day to reach out and have some quality bonding, it could be playing outside , making cookies , or just calling and chit chatting. ( this is the one time to plug your phone back in ) as long as they or it is important to you. this doesnt only make you feel good but spreads positivity to others.
8. Plan something exciting !!!
- it could be a tropical trip or a spa day with the girls, planning for happier days or events in general will give you enthusiasum, something i forgot i had. we get so wrapped up in work and our social lives that a good time to most of us is going to the clubs getting slammered and feeling like shit the next day. asking ourselves "what was the point" or the typical "Im never drinking again days " instead of the normal stuff plan for the once in a while stuff MORE!!!
9. Get as much sleep as possible
- whatever you do .. dont over sleep but go to bed an hour or two earlier then you usually would. it makes all the differencein the world. Sleep is soo important and if you usually dont get in your 8 hours... do this step more
10. Check your calendar
- plan a YOU day atleast once a month , you deserve it!!!!!!!
